Acquisition concept: Marketing & acquisition for creative professionals

On October 23 and 24, a two-day workshop on this very topic took place in Innsbruck. The aws keynote speech was aimed specifically at creative professionals such as civil engineers, designers, craftsmen, architects, media designers, and artisans.

There was great interest in the fully booked event. New formats such as the Knowledge Cafe, a series of keynote speeches followed by live feedback, were particularly well received.

Formats, results, and thematic focus

During the weekend workshop, the 24 participants learned about the approaches of other companies in the creative industry, received immediate live feedback from others on their marketing strategies, and gained food for thought for future measures.

Knowledge Cafe

This format offers the opportunity for open, creative exchange to develop initial joint solutions. Within this framework, the key topics were worked out together. The four group topics that were defined in the group were:

  • How can contact with existing customers be maintained, or how can initial contact lead to an order?
  • How do you select suitable marketing tools and set priorities when starting a new business in the creative industry?
  • What criteria are helpful when selecting marketing channels for existing companies, and what are the special features of the Tyrolean market?
  • How can collaborations be used for marketing strategies and customer acquisition?
  • The solutions developed were summarised for each topic area.

Keynote speeches

Using short inputs and best practices, we discussed the need to sharpen positioning and find the ideal customer for one’s services and products. The following individual presentations covered numerous B2B and B2C marketing channels and were rounded off with inputs on prioritising the marketing plan. The focus was on developing or improving a marketing strategy.

Live-Feedbacks

In the last block of the workshop, participants had the opportunity to discuss their positioning, marketing plan, or individual measures in a plenary session with the other participants and Consultori. Here, participants were able to take home concrete suggestions for changes to their own marketing measures.

Thanks to the lively exchange, which was deliberately encouraged by the selected formats, participants were able to take away new ideas for adapting their marketing channels in their companies.

Feedback

Feedback from Christine Fekesa (C-Stummer) at the end of the workshop: “I really enjoyed the ‘Marketing and Acquisition for Creative Professionals’ workshop with Petra Wolkenstein last Thursday and Friday. I learned a lot. Highly recommended!”

We wish all participants every success in implementing what they have learned.
