Contextflow: Exit to Australia – EUR 11.5 Million
The Vienna-based HealthTech startup Contextflow, specialising in AI-powered radiology and lung imaging, has been acquired by Australian medical technology company 4DMedical. The deal includes a cash payment of approximately EUR 11.5 million plus shares and earn-out options. Through the acquisition, 4DMedical gains a CE-certified, MDR-compliant platform with an established European customer base and clinical presence across the continent. Contextflow CEO Markus Holzer will take on the role of General Manager of 4DMedical Europe. A clean exit that demonstrates European HealthTech innovation is in demand globally. We had the pleasure of working with the Contextflow team as mentors during their early incubation phase at inits – it is genuinely rewarding to see where that journey has led.

GATE Space: EUR 6.3 Million via EIC Accelerator and EIB
TU Vienna spinoff GATE Space, founded in 2022, secured funding through the highly selective EIC Accelerator Programme of the European Commission. In the latest round, only around six percent of all applications were selected. GATE Space was the only Austrian company and the only company from the space, aerospace and defence sector to receive funding in this round. The EUR 6.3 million, split between a non-repayable EIC grant and an EIB equity investment, will go toward industrialising the patented propulsion technology and expanding the company’s international market position. We have been working with GATE Space on financing and negotiations – and could not be more proud of this result.
CEO and co-founder Moritz Novak on the achievement:
This funding is an extraordinary validation of our technology, our team and our vision. It enables us to significantly accelerate our growth strategy and further expand our position as a leading provider for mobility and infrastructure in space.
All deal details in the Brutkasten article.
Moritz shared his scaling journey at the ViennaUP Lab to Leader Panel – an event co-organised by Konsultori and moderated by Petra Wolkenstein.

VeloConcerts: Standing Ovation at the re:Marc Final in Budapest
VeloConcerts, founded by Jonas Skielboe, represented Austria at last week’s re:Marc final in Budapest, where impact ventures from six countries pitched in front of an international jury. Skielboe cycled there from Vienna on an unfolding-stage cargo bike, surviving three flat tires, a 40km detour, and a dead motor along the way. He still delivered a pitch on the bigger why behind VeloConcerts that earned a standing ovation. Konsultori worked with VeloConcerts on their growth efforts during the Growth Lab at Vienna Business Agency.
Jonas Skielboe on the experience:
For me, VeloConcerts is more than just a business; it is my driving force. Let us work towards a united and sustainable world where culture can freely unfold and bring people together.
